Magical Marker Techniques

Magical Marker Techniques

  • Post category:AECP / English

Today鈥檚 card is inspired by AECP course Magical Marker Techniques.

I admit: in the past I had some bad experiences with alcohol based markers. When I saw AECP included a course dedicated to these type of markers I was worried – but them I decided to jump in and purchased Cosmic Garden Artist Alcohol Markers Set A.
It was a completely different experience and I am glad with this purchase!

Following one of the lessons, I’ve tried pairing the markers with the Sweet Spring Stencil. Although the image is not sharp and defined, I like the result. I’ve finished the card with Hello and Hugs Stamp Set. I trying to stamp it with the markers – a technique I like doing when using watercolor markers – but these markers dries really fast! it took several tries to get the sentiment colorful enough.

Lesson for today: If you try a product and aren’t happy with it, don’t be afraid to try other companies. You might be pleasantly surprised!

I agree the image is not as sharp, it has its own look and feel to it. I like the look you have achieved, its the same type you would get with a paste maybe. I do have a tip for you, if you do want to take it a step further, you can always try to blend (not all the layers or areas) but some portion of it to give it variation. I think I will cover this in my class! 馃檪
Thank you for submitting your wonderful work to the AECP assignment gallery.
