Today’s card is inspired by AECP course Irresistible Inking Techniques.
This course is all about fun way to use your ink pads, and I really liked the option to turn my ink to a watercolor.
I’ve heat-embossed the lovely Blossom Wreath Stamp Set in white. I then took several ink pads, smooshed them on a smooth surface and mixed them with a little water. I’ve then colored the image using a paintbrush. I’ve also colored a bit of white cardstock to match the matting. I’ve embellished the card with a little ribbon. In total this is a soft, pastel , happy little card.
Some tips for this card:
- Heat embossing is so much fun when coloring in water mediums. The water stays within the lines and the colored edges are nice and crisp.
- In hindsight, I could use less water. The colors could be a little bolder.
- Who said that your card must include a sentiment? No one, that’s who 😉
That is all for today. see you next card!
So pretty!
