Today’s card is inspired by AECP class Beautiful Details.
I can honestly say, from all of the AECP classes I’ve taken, this was the most inspiring one. Listening to Marika Rahtu talk about her process gave me courage to try and improve my coloring. I’ve colored the images from Darling Rose Stamp Set with Altenew’s Cosmic Garden Artist Alcohol Markers Set A, and honestly it was one of my best coloring ever! I’m happy with the result. I’ve created a brick background with a stencil, and finished it with some enamel dots.
Some tips for this card:
– The most important thing I’ve learned from this class is that you should go over and add layers of color. It was an interesting realization.
– If you have a matching ink pads to your colors, stenciled background can be so much fun to match with the image!
– If one of the images was partly stamped or colored wonky, you can always use it and hide the mistakes… can you spot which leaf was only half-stamped?
Thank you for reading, and see you next card!

Thank you for submitting your beautiful work to the AECP assignment gallery.
Wow wow, Daniella! This is absolutely gorgeous! I am so glad to hear that you were inspired! I know that writing a blog post takes time and energy… ( I have a plate of fruit in front of me to keep me going-lol). I adore the gradient that you achieved with your coloring and ink-blending! SUPERB!! A + from me! Keep up with your great work! Hope to see you at the finish line soon!
