With A Twist

With A Twist

Today’s card is inspired by AECP course With A Twist.
This course is about trying to think outside of the box with your supplies.

I managed to get my paws on the Altenew Framed Friendship Stamptember 2020 Exclusive. I’ve decided to go to different direction with the coloring and in the spirit of friendship, I’ve used watercolor markers to color the image with the colors of the pride flag. I sometimes feel that in the stamping community there are a lot of conservative voices and we should learn to be more inclusive.
I’ve finished the card with New Day Card Kit Enamel Dots. I also modified some stamps to create the sentiment I wanted.

Tip for stamps modification:
Yes, you can cut stamps if you want to. it is easy to cut between words without damaging the letters.
However, you can avoid it by using masking or washi tape:
1. You can lay a piece of scrap paper on your project under the words you don’t want to stamp,
or
2. you can cover the words you don’t want with washi tape, ink the stamp, remove the tape and stamp. Easy and clean results!

That is all for today. see you next card!

A sweet sentiment behind the card. The project itself looks good too! Can you please include a larger project photo, moving forward as it will be easier to see the beautiful details?
Thank you for submitting your work to the AECP assignment gallery. Well done!
